Any one package by itself is worth little or nothing to a network manager however, WANSecurity, Inc. has assembled these packages together forging a bond which we have coined “Open Source Super Glue”. This bonding is code, which comprises of 15 years of experience, technique and superior technical expertise in network monitoring to annex these open source components into a sum greater than their commercial counterparts.

Nexus Director Monitor is an open-source Nagios based solution for robust IT network and security system monitoring and management. Nexus Monitor provides an open platform to monitor network equipment, servers, firewalls, proxies, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus and spam servers, applications, databases and other mission critical components to measure both system availability and performance metrics. Network administrators can view the availability and performance via any standards based browser supporting AJAX including Explorer, Firefox, Opera, and Safari. Nexus Monitor is available, as a cost effective solution for the needs of modern enterprise network managers.

Nexus Director Config is an open-source Monarch based solution for robust configuration management. NDConfig is an excellent solution for environments with constantly changing configurations. ND Config supports profiles for Hosts and Services allowing the network administrator to create configuration profiles and apply those to a number of hosts or services.

Achieve Complete Transaction Awareness with Nexus Collector. Nexus Collector provides complete transaction awareness through event brokering, security information management and storage of RFC3164 syslog data for any financial application, database, firewall, IDS, anti-virus, proxy, router, switch, windows server, or any variant of POSIX compliant Unix including Linux, Solaris, and BSD. The Nexus Collector Master Cluster (NCMC) architecture is scalable to store and recall hundreds of terabytes of data.

Nexus Discovery, based on NeDi is a network discovery engine. NeDi uses SNMP, CDP, LLDP, and OUI information to discover devices and associations on your network. Nexus Discovery configuration is generated from the Nexus Director configuration base. It provides network managers with realtime status information including CPU, mem, route and multicast, VLAN, trunk, portchannel, bandwidth and interfaces errors. Nexus Discovery (with the help of remote wireless probes) keeps track of wireless networks and provides notifications when new ones appear. It provides reports on usage statistics for networks, devices, modules, interfaces, nodes, and wireless networks. It also provides tools for the following issues:
